In general, on an LS or LTx swap you will use the stock flexplate/flywheel that would've come behind an LS engine with that transmission you are using. The only real difference is if using a pre 1997 trans, the stock 4.3 auto transmission, or if you have a 99-00 6.0 and 4.8 engine with the long crank(pics below on how to tell, Setup A on the ICT billet picture below). You also may have to elongate the converter bolt holes just a tad on some setups. Long cranks dont work with nv3500 standard flywheels 1. For any 97+ v8 transmission on a short crank LS/LT Engine (4.8/5.3/5.7/6.0/6.2/7.0) you will use the flexplate/flywheel that was stock for the transmission on that engine. For example, a 4l60e will use a dished plate, 4l80e will use plate AND spacer, a t56 will use t56 flywheel etc, 6l80e will use 6l80e plate etc. 2. For 4l80e swaps... on short crankshaft engines you will use a standard flat 4l80e flexplate WITH spacer(setup C), on long cranks you will use only the plate WITHOUT the spacer(Setup B below) 3. For Nv3500 swaps....you will need a flywheel from a 5 speed 4.8 Silverado. We have an entire post about this in the featured tabs. (Extended crank 99-00 4.8/6.0 will need a crank swap or different setup with 0.400 shorter spacing) 4. For long crank 4.8/6.0 engines using a 4l80e, you will need to use a 4l80 type flexplate WITHOUT the spacer in place, or a 4l60e flexplate with snout spacer to support the converter. (Setup B) 5. If using a pre-1997 transmission or 4.3 v6 auto transmission (evident by lack of top bolt hole), or a TH200/350/400, 700r4 or pre 1997 4L60E/4l80e(or 4.3 v6 700r4/60e)... you will need to use to use a flat flexplate for a 4l80e WITHOUT its 0.400” spacer. (Setup B) ALSO If you are lazy and reusing the 4l60e dished v8 flexplate with stock 4.3 v6 auto trans, you MUST have a torque converter snout support spacer. Otherwise, you will destory the pump!

ICT part # 551165 or GANGMU Tec # ‎PQ00052 Adapts pre 1997 transmission or a 4.3 transmission (evident by lack of top bolt hole), or a PowerGlide, TH200/350/400, 700r4 or pre 1997 4L60E/4l80e(or 4.3 v6 700r4/60e) torque converter snout to LS/LT -Measurements....Height: 1.02", Outer Diameter: 1.97", Inner Diameter 1.69"
